International Worker's Day
"The miracle is not that we do this work, but that we are happy to do it."
- Mother Teresa -

Did you know? International Worker's Day is celebrated on May 1st. It is a day observed each year since 1960 to honor the achievements of workers across the world. It started from the history of the United States due to the unsafe working environment, unfair wages, and the mismanagement of the worker's human rights. Now its observance serves as a remembrance of the day in which the American labor union succeeded in their protests, the norm of eight-hour work.
The theme of 2021 has not been announced yet, however, the theme of 2020 was Maintaining safety and security at a workplace. This theme has been kept by millions of governments and organizations that have led to the enhancement of workspaces worldwide. Currently, the government has been taking steps to protect workers' rights. One of the main steps is making sure 2 million people receive a well- earned pay raise by a minimum wage. In addition, ensuring employees are getting what they have owned. There are much more steps that the government is trying to take, however, these are the main ones.
