International Women's Day

12 CIS faculties and 8 MS students participated in this International Women's Day.

To participate, there were simple instructions that faculty members had to follow.
They had to either wear something purple or have their background purple.
After that, raise their hand like they are trying to do a high-five with someone.
This hand represents that you're in, commit to ChoosetoChallenge, and call out inequality.

ChoosetoChallenge means to face problems, be confident and stand up for gender inequalities. This simple participation represents the symbol of IWD 2021
(IWD is the abbreviation of International Women's Day).
ChoosetoChallenge has been named in this way because we are all responsible for our thoughts and actions, every day. We can all choose to challenge gender equality and celebrate women's achievements. With this, we can create an equalized world. Therefore, we can ChoosetoChallenge.

Even though this was a small and first action that we have taken as a school, it could
help millions of women who are having difficulties because of unequal gender rights.
Next time, we would like to get more broad, having all of the faculties, students participate (next time), and "Think outside the box" in these inequality issues.
